We are here in the Parish of The Transfiguration, Bawnogue. Welcome to our Parish website. We welcome all newcomers to the area.
Bawnogue has at its core a Christian Community of people with a strong and lively faith. A few years ago, we chose the fuchsia plant as our parish symbol to reflect the life, spirit, soul and heart that characterises our people. The fuchsia plant is simple yet complex, delicate yet steadfast. While we can struggle with our limitations and pain we know too, that like the fuchsia, we carry within us seeds of beauty, love, sacrifice and commitment.

Our Mission Statement:

To build, develop and nourish a Christian Catholic community where all will be welcomed, respected, encouraged and supported. We rely on the Holy Spirit and the intercession of Our Lady in trying to fulfill this mission.
